This Pakistani restaurant in Wedding doesn’t bother with the trappings of 'refined European taste'. You'll get unfiltered flavors - guaranteed!
If you manage to bypass the unapologetic riot of color and blinking lights that could be seen as more off-putting than inviting, you are rewarded with true delights for the palate! Ashiyana has many dishes on the menu that are downright addictive. I'm obsessed with the Chicken Biryani — one of the best I've ever eaten. The large Biryani (great for sharing!) has the perfect balance of complexity and harmony, the chicken is tender and blends seamlessly into the dish, the rice is layered, aromatic, and delightfully spicy (upon request). Best paired with one of the vegetarian dishes — my favorites: Aloo Gobi or Tenda Masala. Definitely order a Naan with it and ask for the mint sauce! Voilà, you've got the ultimate comfort food menu.
There are also a few dishes that fall more into the “tastes okay” category, including the Malai Kofta and the Palak Paneer. The kofta themselves are excellent, but unfortunately, the sauce is too mild and creamy. The Palak is well-balanced, but nothing to write home about.
If you order well, however, you're guaranteed a 100% no-bs food experience here—and all at very reasonable prices! The entire staff is always very friendly and helpful.
