Baraka – Moroccan Comfort

Some places just know how to make you feel at home. Baraka in Kreuzberg is one of them. Cozy interior, warm service, good honest food.

We came for a casual dinner and ordered the lamb tagine, the falafel plate, and a fenugreek tea. Let’s start with what you need to order: the lamb tagine with peaches and prunes. Especially the prunes infuse pure depth into the dish and create a wonderful sticky sauce. The plate was scraped clean at the end of our meal :)

The fenugreek tea is earthy, with a soft honey note rounding it off. The falafel are airy and the salad is fresh. The plate is a good complement to the heavier tagine. Service is attentive and genuinely warm – no fake smiles (or Berlin mean mugs) here. The space is cozy and laid-back, the kind of spot that makes you want to linger.
